The Strategic Industrial Production Area of Marina de Cudeyo y Medio Cudeyo is a Logistic-Business Platform that provides land reserves in Cantabria for the implementation of new economic activities.
It is an initiative of global operation that is framed inside the recent tendency of the European countries to construct authentic industrial districts. This concept goes beyond the traditional Industrial Park or Zone, and is configured as large economic-territorial endowments to become engines of competitiveness of cities, metropolitan areas and regions in the new world economy.
SIMC (Suelo Industrial de Marina de Cudeyo y Medio Cudeyo) is a public-private company constituted by SICAN (Public Company) and SODEPISA (Private Company formed by the companies TIRSO, SIEC, BOALAR and ORAN).
The main objective of the project is to regulate the implementation of industrial facilities, large equipment and services of special importance, both new companies that are emerging within the national and international economic market, as well as others already consolidated in the sector.
The complex covers a total dimension of 1,600,000 m² distributed in three zones: North, Centre and South. The planned uses can be divided into Logistics and Industrial Centres, business, commercial and services and equipment; open spaces, in addition to landscaping areas.
